The SMARTLab Digital Media Centre http://www.smartlab.uk.com/ is based at the University of East London and with a variety of sponsors they are involved in research, creative industries, community and education. They have a basis in applied research, non-profit and community engagement projects (such as the TRUST project for children with disabilities, and Safetynet global anti-domestic violence project), and run a MAGIC centre, where (in the PLAYroom facility) they host workshops, playshops, skills ops, networking events and research thinktanks for local and global partners in Knowledge transfer in the creative industries.
Radiowaves, the schools podcasting network, and the Ministry of Justice are giving young people the chance to have their say as part of an innovative new project called ‘Voice It’.
