Mercurious Island from West Twyford

It is scary. They are hiding the animals. I feel strange and spooky. I’m boiling hot. It’s different from anywhere I have ever been and I feel as if I’ve been dumped here. But it’s beautiful. It’s huge and bright although there are white and fluffy clouds.
I hear seagulls and the golden sand burning my feet. I run to pineapple trees with huge fruit even though the air is salty. Over there is a cave but too small for a bear – whew!
I can see two mountains, one big and one small. Maybe it’s not so bad. I go to the water and it is clean and clear. OUCH! I step on a sharp stone. The boulders are gigantic and so are the chalky cliffs!
It is graceful and warming; and most of all it is welcoming.
